Take Action this March
NCS Action Day is a mass of Grad-run social action projects taking place from 18-25 March.
NCS Action Day – in association with Santander – is an amazing opportunity to make a positive mark on your local community and show your passion, creativity and drive through supporting a cause that you’re passionate about!
You and your fellow NCS Grads are encouraged to get together and build on the fantastic work you did when you were on NCS.
What you do is up to you; whether you’re raising money or awareness for a local charity, or helping out at a local care home, the choice is totally yours. Just download this helpful guide to Action Day to help you on your way…
Action Day 2016
Last year NCS Grads were involved across the UK, including the group below who held a charity music gig in Cambridge to raise awareness for the Terrence Higgins Trust.
The group invited a number of youth acts to perform and sold tickets for the event, raising over £350 in support of the charity which provides HIV and sexual health support services across the UK.
Like the idea, but don’t have time to plan anything?
Don’t worry, there are also lots of pre-planned Action Day events taking place across the county that you have the opportunity to get involved in.
Sounds like something you’d be interested in? Let us know! Email our NCS Grad Executive Hayley Wren at firstname.lastname@example.org – Hayley will be more than happy to work with you to plan your Action Day event and let you know about all the pre-planned events taking place in your local area.
We want to hear about all of your amazing projects! Keep us in the loop with what you’re up to by tweeting @NCSEast using #NCSActionDay.
Good luck and happy planning!
